Private Bawden was KIA in France on the 15.5.1918 - (Ref - http://mappingouranzacs.naa.gov.au/file-view.html?b=3058763&s=B2455&c=BAWDEN W E). His body was located and buried in France. His Army record spells his name with an A and on a couple of forms was changed to and O, but, his signature always had an A.
