The death occurred in Tumut District Hospital of Mr. James Gordon, of Fitzroy street, aged 72 years. He had resided at Tumut for over 50 years and was well known. For many years he took an active part in public affairs and conducted a furniture business until his death. He leaves a widow and one son, George. The remains were interred in the Presbyterian portion of the Tumut new cemetery.
