Samuel was killed in an accident in 1884 at the Eight mile Section, via Kiandra. NSW at age 34.
Samuel (1st) married Miss Catherine Hannah Smith, in 1882 in Cooma, NSW.
The daughter of John Smith and Catherine was born in 1863 in Braidwood, NSW
She died on March 24, 1950 in Tumut, NSW at age 85.
1. Herbert James Thomas was born on March 10, 1883 in Kiandra, NSW and died in 1885 in Cooma, NSW at age 2.
2. Samuel (2nd) Thomas was born on the 25th June, 1884, in Lobbs Hole, Kiandra, NSW and died in 1928 in Tumut, NSW at age 44.
