DESTRUCTIVE FIRE. - Sydney, September 4. A fire at Crookwell (172 miles south of Sydney) destroyed the premises of Furner Brothers (storekeepers) Denning (a cabinetmaker), Kershaw (a newsagent), and Furner (auctioneer). The damage is estimated at £14,000. All except Denning were insured. MR. O. H. FURNER. CROOKWELL,, Monday. - Mr. 0. H. Furner, of the firm of Mesera. O. H. Furner and Co., stock salesmen and auctioneers, of Crookwell and Goulburn, died at St. John O' Gods Hospital, Goulburn, yesterday morning, after a brief Illness. The deceased is survived by a widow and three sons' and three daughters. The sons are Messrs. Ronald Arthur, of Woodlands, McAllster Harold, Tupra Station, Yass, and Terence, Goulburn; the daughters, Mrs. S. Lund, Crookwell, and Miss Nancy and Allco, Goulburn. The brothers are Alderman C. W. Furner and Messrs. Arthur G. (Goulburn), F. O. (Sydney), , and S. L. (Manly). Miss Amy Furner (Goulburn), is a sister, and Mrs. Edward Youngman (Pennant Hills), and Mrs. K-nlly Whiteman (Cronulla), step-sisters.
