John (2nd) Gelling - born in 1722 in Isle of Man. He married Miss Catherine Killey unlnown date who was also born in the Isle of Man. Robert (1st) died in 1812 still living in Braddan Isle of Man. Catherine died in Marown, Isle of Man.

3. Robert (1st) Gelling - born in 1742 in Braddan, Isle of Man, was the 3rd child of 13. He married Miss Jane Kelly in Sept 1770 in Braddan, Isle of Man. who was also born in the Isle of Man. Robert (1st) died in 1807 still living in the Isle of Man as did Jane who died in 1808 in Marown, Isle of Man.

3. Thomas Gelling (3rd Child) was born 26/7/1807 Braddan Isle of Man - Thomas Gelling Died 7/6/1866. He married Miss Margaret Kelly who was born in 1807 in Marown, Isle of Man - Margaret Kelly Died 7/1/1866, in Tumut, both are buried in the Pioneer Cemetery Tumut.

4.Charlotte Ellen Gelling. 5. James Gelling.

They married on the 14th September, 1830 in Marown, Isle of Man.

3. - 29/12/1837 - Ann Gelling was born in Marown, Isle of Man - Then she married on the 17/4/1858 at Gilmore Mill, via Tumut to Mr George Baker.

4. - 2/6/1839 - Philip Henry Gelling was born in Marown, Isle of Man - 13/8/1870 Grenfell - Died 6/12/1899 Temora

5. - 4/7/1841 - Elizabeth Sarah Gelling was born in Marown, Isle of Man - In 17/3/1866 in Tumut, NSW - she married Mr Robert Dear. Died 29/6/1893 Tumut.

6. - 4/9/1842 - Thomas Edward Gelling was born in Marown, Isle of Man - 21/5/1868 in Young, NSW he married Miss Anne McGrath. Died 7/3/1919 Temora, NSW.

7. - 8/9/1846 - Rebecca Gelling was born in Marown, Isle of Man - Rebecca Gelling - On the 7th September, 1867 in Tumut, NSW she married - Mr Robert Downing (2nd). Died 8/9/1920 in Tumut.

8. - c1846 - Charlotte Gelling was born in Marown, Isle of Man - Died 23/1/1852 Marown, Isle of Man.

9. - 1848 - John Gelling was born in Marown, Isle of Man - Died 1851 Marown, Isle of Man.

TRIP TO AUSTRALIA.

Thomas and Margaret and 6 of their children departed Liverpool on the Barque "Fortune" 16/1/1853 arriving Sydney 28/4/1853.

Arrival in Tumut unknown.

Thomas was a miller by occupation.
