Sergeant M.V. Johnson of Police Headquarters Sydney, son of Mrs E.A. Johnson of "Riverdale", Blowering, is spending a holiday with his mother, brothers and sisters. He came up in the latest Eskine Six out of Studebaker Corporations depot. He had a good run with no stops or hitches on the way.

Sergeant Milton Johnson, son of Mrs E.A. Johnson of Jones' Bridge, Tumut, and chief clerk to the Central Superintendent of Police, Sydney, is spending his holidays with his kinfolk. It is two and a half years since he visited Tumut, his native place.

Sergeant 1st Class M.V. Johnson, of the Metropolitan Police, son of Mrs E.A. Johnson, of Jones' Bridge, Blowering, accompanied by his wife (nee Miss Brumby), returned to Sydney by car yesterday after spending some six weeks' holiday among his relatives and friends in Tumut and Adelong. During his stay in Adelong a day was spent doing a little goldprospecting and Mr Johnson was quite excited on getting a small amount of gold in every dish that he washed. Both Mr Johnson and his wife thoroughly enjoyed their stay in Tumut, meeting many old friends and are looking forward to their next holiday here.

Retired from the Police Force, where he held the rank of Sergeant 1/c, Mr M.V. Johnson of Sydney and his wife are staying with Mr & Mrs Jack Nuttall. Mrs Nuttall and Mr Johnson are brother and sister.

News was received in Tumut yesterday of the death in Balmain Hospitalon Wednesday night of Mr Milton Johnson, son of the late Mr Johnson and Mrs E. Johnson of Jones' Bridge, Blowering, in his early 50's. The late Mr Johnson, who was a retired Sergeant of Police, had been in illhealth for some years, which caused his retirement.
A widow and a son Richard Victor and a married daughter, Jean, survive. Brothers surviving are George (Railway Department), Walter, Fred and Bert (Tumut), Herbert Leonard (WA) and Hector (Sydney), whilst sisters are Lillian (Mrs W. Grady, of Shephardstown), Ivy (Mrs Stan Prowse, Wagga), Ella (Mrs Jack Nuttall, Tumut) and Clare (Mrs W. Banwell, Blowering).
