.....................................

Mr. Luff was a remarkable man; he was never really a robust type, but possessed a marvellous constitution which kept him alive so long.

About nine months ago, he suffered a severe turn, and was brought to Gundagai where he lingered on, gradually becoming weaker, until this morning when his kind old heart, which had borne so much, just ceased beating, and he passed away in the peace of comfort in knowing that he had lived as all men should live, true, straight and honest.

His daughter, Mrs. Owen, was a noble daughter, in the way in which she cared for her parent, neither sparing energy or time to do everything to make his last days comfortable and happy.

The funeral will take place tomorrow at Wagragobilly at 3 p.m., in the Catholic cemetery; the cortege leaving St. Patrick's Church, Gundagai, about 2 p.m. - (Ref- http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/224993488?searchTerm=william%20luff&searchLimits=
