Lieutenant Neville James Ussher, of D squadron, has already had 17 months experience of active ser- vice in South Africa, he having been a member of the second detachment of Australian horse that accom panied the 2nd New South Wales Mounted In fantry. His corps was attached to General French's column and he was present at many engagements, including Poplar Grove. Lieutenant Ussher was born in Melbourne. He has been for four years a member of the Gundagai Half-squadron of Australian Horse."
