1894 - Our Tumut correspondent writes, that on March 30 the awards were distributed to the children. The Kev. E. 1915 - EAST BLOWERING. - The contributions of the local school towards "Mothers'Thirty Thousand" amounted to £6/10/9, which has been, forwarded to the Accountant of the Education Department, in connection with the Belgian Fund, Miss. T, Naughton secured the first and Mrs. T. Myers second prizes (fancywork donated by Miss. E. Lindbeck), and the accordion (donated by Mr. T. Stanfield) was won by Miss. H. Mc Alister. 1925 - EAST BL0WER1NG. PARENTS AND CITIZENS' ASSN.. - A meeting of the Blowering East Parents and Citizens' Association was held in the school building on the evening of Wednesday, 11th March,
A letter from the Director of Education thanking the association for the donation of three pictures and 45 Oooks to the School Library was read.
The Yass District State School Scholarship Scheme was discussed, and the members present expressed their willingness to assist in any functions held to raise the Blowering East School's quota of the amount.

1925 - EAST BLOWERING. - The Blowering East Parents and Citizens Association held a Very successful old time dance on Friday, August 29. The dance room was tastefully decorated with wattle. Mr. G. Naughton acted as M.C. and the music was in the capable hands of Mr. D. Stanfleld, extras being rendered by Messrs. Tindall, McDonald, and Naughton. The ladies of the Parents and Citizens' Association were responsible for the excellent supper provided. 1934 - STORMS CAUSE DAMAGE - LOSSES AT TUMUT AND NARRANDERA. - A severe hailstorm at West Blower ing in the Tumut district, stripped trees, and other trees were uprooted by the wind. Mr David Stanfield's market garden and tobacco-plant nursery suffered badly from rain, wind, and hail. Everything was chopped off as with a scythe, including 50,000 tobacco plants, 500 tomato plunts, and young vegetables. East Blowering Public School had all the windows broken, as well as some windows in the rooms.
