George Robert (1st) Spicer married Miss Mavis June Crane at 7.30pm on Wednesday the 29th January, 1947, at All Saints, Church of England, Tumut. June had lived on "Fairview" a property with her large family situated on the western side of the river which was about half way along the valley.
In the late 1940's George and June were the managers of "Kinloch" on behalf of his sister and her husband Albert (Bert) Sheather until 1950 when the property was sold to the Stephenson's.
George took on full time work cutting Euco in the West Blowering Hills area. They show up in the NSW Elect Roll in 1949 as a "Farmer" and "Home Duties" in West Blowering, Via Tumut.
1954 - NSW Elect Roll shows George Robert Spicer, as living in West Blowering and working as a Farmer - (in that year he was a Eucalyptus Cutter, most likely on the hill behind Crane's). His wife shows as Home duties, same address.
