Situated nearby to the property is "Wereboldera" Mountain it is 2,700 feet high at the Trig Site. The mountain is actually situated high behind the good farming land of the McAlister's family farm and offers wonderful sweeping views of the Tumut area.

A Hare Drive came off at Wyangle on Wednesday last, when a party of 18 shooters secured 145 of these rodents. Wild rabbits are increasing. Mr. R. Mr Thomas McAlister was first employed on the "Darbalara Run" by Mr William Warby, his brother-in-law. His wife Caroline a sister of Mr Warby's wife was the second white women to live in the area.

1.1830 Elizabeth McAlister . Was born on the 10th May, 1830, she was the first white baby born in the Tumut area. She married John Wilkinson of Yellowin, NSW = (Ref :- NSW BDM No. V1847589 32C) in 1847 at (MI) Yass, NSW) - In later years they were to purchase "Springfield" the neighbouring property to her parents property "Wereboldera".

2. 1832 John James McAlister - (Ref:- Birth NSW BDM No. V1832918 21/1832)was born, possibly making him the first white male born in the area. Then in 1857 John James McAlister married Miss Anne COYED in TUMUT - (REf:- Marriage NSW BDM 2688/1857)

1835 Mary Henrietta McAlister was born in Tumut, NSW and died in 1889 in Tumut, NSW at the age of about 54 years.

3. 1842 Robert McAlister was born whilst they were on the Tumut Plains land.(No official record found to date.) Robert married Miss Sophia CLOUT, in Tumut. - (Ref NSW BDM No. 3206/1866)
