1911 - DISTRICT ITEMS. ADELONG.- - Foxes are becoming very numerous in this district. Large numbers of their skins are sold locally every week, yet the pest appears to be increasing rapidly. Last Sunday morning Mr. George Butler, of Wondalga, in crossing from his place to his father's, a distance of a few miles only, counted no less than 27 foxes. It is almost impossible for people living a few miles out to successfully rear many turkeys. One farmer alone lost 26 young turkeys in one night by foxes. - (Ref- The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954)(about) Previous issue Thursday 22 June 1911).
